The Music Box Suite is a collection of four duets for Snare Drum and Marimba. Written as part of an Arts Council England-funded project, in collaboration with Alex Smith of the world renowned Koninklijk Conservatorium van Antwerpen, the pieces are based around numerical and systems-based compositional processes, and represent a challenge for even advanced players.
 
The four pieces are Prelude, Courante, Gigue, and Allemande, all of which are linked by numerical sequencing and a journey around the Circle of Fifths.
 
Students of either instrument will enjoy the comprehensive composition and performance notes, and solo players will get the chance to play the full duets using the included play-along tracks.
